Frequently Asked Questions - Sauna
The sauna can be set up in just a few minutes by a single person. Having firewood pre-chopped and ready will make the process even faster. Teardown also takes only a few minutes. Before moving the stove after use, allow all wood to burn out and ensure the stove has fully cooled. For safety and performance, empty the ash and burn debris from the stove pan regularly.
The tent typically reaches 80–100°C (176–212°F) in about 30 minutes. During the heat-up phase, keep the stove vent fully open. To slow the burn and reduce heat output, partially close the vent and adjust as needed. For further tips and tricks on acheiving the hottest burn possible, please see our youtube video on this subject.
The tent can be left set up for extended periods; however, doing so may reduce its overall lifespan. Although the exterior fabric is made from durable, weather-resistant materials, we recommend storing the tent indoors during severe weather.
If the tent is left up in windy or extreme conditions, be sure to secure it using the included ropes and pegs. Additional stability can be added by placing rocks or other weighted objects around the outer skirt to help keep the tent firmly in place.
Additionally, the roof is not load bearing, so a heavy load of snow can collapse it and potentially cause damage. A central support pole can mitigate this, we have successfully used painters poles for this exact purpose. This is not included.
Standard size logs of 18 inches will fit in the stove. You will find that the thinner the wood is sliced, the hotter the sauna will burn, because more surface area of the wood is exposed to the flame.
Different woods will burn at different temperatures, and it is essential that the wood be properly cured (dried).
We suggest a cleared area of ground, such as concrete, tile, dirt, sand, etc.
Please consider that the grass you place it on will eventually die. You may also consider purchasing our heatproof mat, which provides a very nice interior experience.
If you place it on a deck, consider that the air passing through the slats, if there are any, will significantly impact the heat, and that the stove may damage the deck surface.
Yes, we suggest burning it in an open environment for 1-2 hours before your first sweat.
No. The tent walls are made from Oxford 210D nylon infused with graphene, and the windows are constructed from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The tent has been tested for off-gassing, with zero detectable levels of carbon monoxide (CO) or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) when heated to its maximum operating temperature using the included stove.
The tent remains stable in windy conditions when properly secured. It features both interior and exterior skirts that can be weighted down with heavy objects such as rocks or bricks. Ground stakes and guy ropes are also included for additional stability.
If these securing measures are not used, the tent may tip over in strong winds, which can be hazardous—especially during an active sauna session.
That said, in extreme wind conditions as Vancouver Island is known for at times, we do suggest either taking down the tent, or providing some kind of structure to keep it safe.

Frequently Asked Questions - Cold Plunge
Anyone with pre-existing health conditions, such as heart conditions or any other issues, should consult with a health professional before engaging with these practices. While sauna and cold plunge have numerous, documented health benefits, like anything else they also carry risk.
No, we currently only rent them.
You can inflate the Kaldr plunge in just a few minutes. Depending on availability, a an electical inflater may be included with your rental.
Then, plug the chiller into a standard 110V outlet and connect the hoses between the tub and the chiller. Finally, fill the tub with a regular garden hose. The complete setup usually takes 15–20 minutes, depending on water pressure. Taking it down follows the same steps in reverse and takes roughly the same amount of time. Please see the attached video for full setup instructions. It is VERY important to not turn on the chiller until the bottom input hole is fully submerged.
The chiller must be connected only to a dedicated 110V/15A circuit with no other devices sharing the same outlet or circuit. We strongly recommend reserving this circuit exclusively for the plunge chiller to prevent the breaker from tripping, especially if other high-power appliances are connected to it.
This is a matter of personal preference and experience with the cold. If you are hosting an event with people who are not used to cold plunging, we suggest somewhere in the range of 8-12 degrees celcius.
This will be a combination of keeping the lid on in between use so debris does not fall into it, using a provided pool skimmer so any floaters on the surface, and also using the built in filter that the chiller has.
The chiller also has a built in ozone filter that filters out bacteria.
Please be careful with the tub, as it is durable but made of the same material as a paddleboard and can be vulnerable to puncture if exposed to sharp objects.
Also, once the chiller is no longer in use, tilt it backwards to flush out any remaining water. This will make it much lighter for carrying it.
